Definition and Usage
The body element defines the document's body.
The body element contains all the contents of an HTML document, such as text, hyperlinks, images, tables, lists, etc.
Browser Support

The <body> tag is supported in all major browsers.
Differences Between HTML and XHTML
All "presentation attributes" of the body element were deprecated
in HTML 4.01, and are not supported in XHTML 1.0 Strict DTD.
Optional Attributes
DTD indicates in which DTD the attribute is allowed. S=Strict, T=Transitional, and F=Frameset.
